Sheryl Lindsay

Sheryl Lindsay is a social worker with over 20 years experience in community work. Sheryl developed and implemented the Hostel Outreach Program in 1988 which provides outreach and ongoing support to homeless women experiencing serious mental health issues and multiple challenges and oppressions.

Sheryl is long time advocate for persons who are homeless. As a community worker, Sheryl’s history with Sistering goes back many years to when it was located at Scadding Court Community Center. Sheryl participated on the Common Occurrence Advisory group, and has been involved in many joint advocacy efforts with Sistering to help improve the lives of women who are facing extraordinary circumstances.
