Sistering’s signature fundraising event features some of Canada’s top female comedians and musicians. Over the years our patrons have been entertained by performers such as Sandra Shamas, Jackie Richardson, Jane Siberry, Shakura S’Aida, Elvira Kurt and Liberty Silver.

Funny Girls and Dynamic Divas took place on Thursday, June 2 at the Jane Mallett Theatre at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts at 27 Front Street East. The evening commenced with an amazing silent auction and reception at 6:00 p.m. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and desserts, donated by local restaurants and caterers, were served during the reception and intermission.

Show time was 7:30 p.m. Sarah Slean headlined the show and was joined by Maiko Watson, Alejandra Ribera and comedian, Laurie Elliott. Elvira Kurt returned to host.

Every year, 400 patrons enjoy an evening of first-rate entertainment while supporting Sistering.

All proceeds from this event went toward programs at Sistering.
